Dr. Brian Dempsey, Professor of Environmental Engineering at Penn State, is an expert in water chemistry issues. He has provided expert opinions in cases concerning water treatment and hazardous waste sites. Dr. Dempsey is widely recognized for his research on water and wastewater treatment. He has published extensively on acid mine drainage and the removal of arsenic from drinking water. Dr. Dempsey has B.S. degrees in Chemistry and Inter-Disciplinary Sciences, and M.S.P.H. and Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry and Biology.
