Wastewater Treatment System Performance

M&A was retained on behalf of an engineering design firm to determine whether a filtration system at a waste water treatment plant complied with performance objectives specified in the contract between the wastewater authority and the engineering design firm. We investigated the design, construction, operation, and performance of the filtration system by performing detailed analyses of engineering drawings, design parameters, O&M manuals, operator logs, performance test data, and NPDES compliance data. M&A provided expert opinions on behalf of the defendants concerning compliance with performance objectives, compliance with maintenance and operating procedures, and whether a reasonable standard of care was followed.
